Ludwig Prandtl with the water test tunnel in Hanover

Ludwig Prandtl (1875-1953) with the water test tunnel in Hanover in 1904. The water tank was 1.5 metres long and a hand wheel drove the circulation. Guide vanes and screens ensured adequately streamlined flow.
