Education:

  • Course of studies in Aerospace engineering at Technische Universität Berlin (1998 – 2006)
    Majors: aero-engine technology, fluid mechanics, aero-acoustics, aircraft design und flight mechanics
  • Diploma thesis „Lokalisierung von Schallquellen in geschlossenen Triebwerksprüfständen“ (”Sound source localisation in enclosed aero-engine test facilities”, 2006)

Experience:

  • Research associate at Berlin University of Technology, Institute of Fluid Mechanics and Engineering Acoustics in the Computational Fluid Dynamics and Aeroacoustics Group of Prof. Dr.-Ing. F. Thiele), since April 2006
  • Building a test rig utilized for experimental investigations on acoustically damping materials (liners) in the framework of DFG research project „LIMiT (Liner Impedance Modelling with flow in the Time domain)“ in cooperation with the German Aerospace Center, Engine acoustics department
  • Research student: assistance for preparation, realisation and analysis of aero-acoustic measurements for different research projects related with sound source localisation (e.g. “Leiser Verkehr“, SILENCE(R) and LEXMOS) in cooperation with Rolls-Royce Deutschland and Deutsche Lufthansa (2002 – 2005)
  • Stay abroad in England during aero-engine testing at the Rolls-Royce UK test facility in Huck-nall, within the EU project SILENCE(R) (2004)


Research areas:

  • Aero-acoustic investigations of ducts with acoustic treatment, Helmholtz resonator liners for aero-engine application, impedance eduction techniques, wave decomposition

Personal interests:

  • Director of the youth group of volunteer fire brigade Reuden (2000 – 2007)
  • Volunteer in the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW), Berlin, Treptow-Köpenick since 2008
