Burn-through test of the 1:1 fuselage model
Function:

To realise Laboratory and Full Scale Tests:

  • Standard certification tests (NBS, OSU) of aviation equipment (LBA test centre)
  • Fire detection and suppression tests in cargo-compartments (1:1 Airbus A340 model)
  • Burn-through tests with an Airbus fuselage model (1:1)
  • Conflagration tests in 2,5 sq.m up to 200 sq.m fire pools
  • Several specific test rigs for material and extinction tests

The experimental facilities and the test centre are located in
