WP4: Industrial Fan-OGV noise: Methods Validation and Demonstration



Objective

  • Validation and demonstration of the computational methods developed and assessed in WP2 and WP3

Workplan:

  • Obtaining detailed broadband noise and turbulence measurements on an industrial Fan-OGV rig at representative flow conditions
     
  • Validation of the RANS / semi-analytic broadband noise models developed and assessed in WP2 and WP3 at fully representative conditions for Fan-OGV application
     
  • Evaluation of LES / DES predictions of the unsteady turbulent aerodynamics of Fan-OGV systems against the measured flow and turbulence data on the industrial Fan-OGV rig
