To the reaping of special materials, like fiber reinforced composite, ceramics, foam, hybrid layered materials from metal and non-metallic materials, the reaping with high-pressure jet of water up to 3500 bar with pure water or with abrasive water jet has become a standard procedure. With the abrasive water jet, erosive quartz sand particles are added by a special mixing nozzle which cuts then the material like a diamond wire saw.

The development of the cutting programs as well as the supply of manifold parameters for the special materials permit reliable near shape or precise dividing cut. Special experiences are necessary to define the starting point of holes in components if the cuttings touch no body edge. Here special shooting or drilling procedures which admit material-careful cuttings are used.

Especially with thin material the reaping with pure water is sufficient. Here possible pollutions by sand of the cut contour are avoided. Especially fabrics and non crimp fabrics can be cut in this manner.
