The strong points of the institute are extensive experiences gained by successful developments of demanding C/C SiC structural components. This competence is mainly based on the availability of the entire process chain, including the development of materials, the design and dimensioning of components, the manufacturing and qualification of prototypes in original geometry, as well as on the application-oriented research philosophy of the institute.
