Progressive missiles technologies (FFT)
In order to improve future missile generations new technologies have to be developed. The main targets of this DLR internal project are the development of base technologies and design criteria for key components of advanced missile systems. Therefore, basic principles shall be investigated and generic missile models shall be developed. Main tasks of the department focus on development, manufacture as well as characterization of demonstrators of technology and components based on non-oxide and oxide ceramic matrix composites for thrust chamber structure, jet vane and radome.
