Elisabeth Mittelbach like challenges and has always enjoyed writing. After graduating from secondary school, she knew she wanted to get to the bottom of things as a journalist. But how does one end up at the DLR Communications department having studied politics, history and economics, and working for several years as a newspaper editor? Because science and technology are exciting and must be explained - and for a non-scientist - a very special challenge, every day. Sometimes one feels like a translator but one thing is certain: it is never boring - because scientists and science managers never run out of topics to discuss and investigate. Like journalists. What connects them is curiosity. Curiosity about new things - knowledge for tomorrow.
