Stephan Saupe studied physics in Tübingen and Bonn, conducted research in the U.S. and received his doctorate in Bonn in the field of laser physics. Since 1995, he has held various positions at DLR, including strategy development, and since 2008 in the coordination of DLR Energy Research (www.DLR.de/energy).
With various leaves of absence, he was active for several years in the Technikfolgenforschung and the Umweltbundesamt zu Gesundheits- und Umweltthemen. Since 2000, he is a part-time lecturer and an active writer (www.LogiText.de), mainly in the area of producing understandable texts on various topics.
His latest product is the DLR_School Info Energy that gives students of class 10 an overview of the world of energy. As an extension of energy issues, his personal interest lies in the challenge of designing a sustainable future - economically, environmentally and socially.
