We are still here at IGARSS, giving you more information about 'Remote Sensing for a Dynamic Earth'. We spoke with Marwan Younis, who took some time from an incredibly tight schedule to answer some questions regarding TerraSAR-X and TanDEM-X, as well as Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) technologies.

Marwan Younis received his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Baghdad, Iraq in 1992 and the Master of Science and doctorate degree in electrical engineering from the Universität Karlsruhe (TH), Germany, in 1997 and 2004, respectively.

From 1998 to 2004, he was a research scientist with the Institut für Höchstfrequenztechnik und Elektronik, Universität Karlsruhe (TH). He has been working for the DLR Microwaves and Radar Institute since 2005. Marwan Younis is an active member of the IEEE and the German Association for Location and Navigation (DGON).
