Jan Oliver Löfken has been keeping an eye on developments in the energy sector for more than a decade. A physicist and science journalist, he focuses his attention on new technologies and on renewable / sustainable as well as conventional energy sources. His articles appear in prominent German-language dailies (FAZ, FTD, Handelsblatt, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Welt) and magazines (P.M., Cicero, Technology Review, Neue Energie), and have received recognition in the form of the Climate Change and Energy Award international prize for journalism awarded at the Climate Conference in Copenhagen in December 2009.
Dorothee Bürkle works as an Editor at DLR Corporate Communications Department in Cologne, primarily in the field of energy research. She believes that energy from renewable and sustainable sources is a much more effective way to protect our climate than climate treaties, and she hopes for sustainable solutions to be implemented in due course.
