Andrea Schaub

As manager of the web portal and online editor, Andrea Haag is responsible for the redesign and further development of DLR.de in addition to editing and producing online formats as part of the DLR Communications and Media Relations Department.

Following her training as a graphic and web designer and completing her studies in information and communication science, working as an online editor at the Technical University of Cologne, as well as gaining several years of professional experience working for online agencies, Andrea Haag finally joined the DLR communications department in Cologne in March 2005.

For more than 16 years, she has been creating web content with passion and ingenuity. This includes reports, portraits, podcasts and videos for the DLR.de portal and DLR's social media channels, as well as producing multimedia content for the DLRmagazine.

In addition to editing and producing online content, she is also responsible for regular projects to migrate, redesign and further develop the bilingual corporate website DLR.de and its 80 affiliated institute and facility websites. She also supports the introduction of new content management systems (CMS) and provides software training for DLR personnel and contractors.

… And that's a wrap!

Last week was amazing – the largest ever International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS) was held in Munich. With over 2700 participants from 68 countries, and over 2500 scientific presentations, it was an excellent platform for knowledge exchange and the exploration and discussion of topics related to 'Remote Sensing for a Dynamic Earth'. Some of the highlights of the symposium included ESA's Envisat and upcoming Sentinel missions, the future of Earth observation, and last but not least, DLR's TanDEM-X and TerraSAR-X satellites. read more

These days, the International Conference Center in Munich is filled with people from all over the world; some of the faces are new, but many are familiar as well. A great number of experts in Earth observation and remote sensing walk through the exhibition hall and fill the conference rooms. It is great to see so many people prominent in this field, and even more so, to have the chance to speak with them in person. DLR startet neues Multimedia-Portal

Mit einem weiteren Online-Angebot ist jetzt das Deutsche Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR) ans Netz gegangen. Unter www.dlr.de/media können User unter anderem hochauflösende Bilder und Videos recherchieren. Das Going-Live des lang angekündigten Multimedia-Portals wurde zu guter Letzt noch von der Asche-Wolke überschattet, so dass wir letzte Woche mit der Veröffentlichung eher unauffällig an den Start gingen. Trotzdem wollen wir natürlich alle Besucher des neuen Multimedia-Portal herzlich willkommen heißen. read more
