GeoVis - Visualization of Geodata

GeoVIS is a DFD user service. It can also be drawn on by outside parties to access the services of DFD’s Science Communication and Visualization (WV) unit. In close cooperation with project scientists, GeoVIS creates films and computer animations for conferences, exhibitions and television programs. To do so, scientific visualization methods are combined with the technologies of the movie industry. In addition, interactive visualization tools for data analysis are tested, animations made for 3D projection, and virtual landscapes generated for simulators. Besides audiovisual adaptations, GeoVIS can also offer the entire range of traditional science communication methods.
