A network of stationary and mobile receiving antennas has been established for the acquisition of data from numerous earth observation missions. Data from various optical and radar sensors with different resolutions can be recorded either systematically or on demand. At present, reception of data from the following satellites is realized at the various sites in the DFD network:

  • Oberpfaffenhofen
    • MSG, NOAA, TERRA, AQUA
    • IKONOS
  • O’Higgins (Antarctica)
    • ERS-2, TerraSAR
  • Recife (Brazil)
    • NOAA
  • Chetumal (Mexico)
    • ERS-2, LS-5, TERRA, TerraSAR, TandemX
  • Ny-Alesund (Svalbard)
    • Champ, Grace
  • Inuvik Canada
    • TerraSAR, TandemX
