Neustrelitz is about 100 kilometres north of Berlin and 150 kilometres south of Rostock. By car, take B96 or B198. By rail, the best option is to take the Chemnitz-Rostock inter-regional train.
Arrival by car
You can reach Neustrelitz either directly via B96, or indirectly via A24 and B198. From Berlin Tegel airport, take A111 in the direction of Hamburg, and continue to junction "Kreuz Oranienburg". Then take A10 eastwards (in the direction of Prenzlau). Exit at junction 34 ("Birkenwerder") and head north on B96 (via Oranienburg, Löwenburg, Gransee and Fürstenberg).
Arrival by rail or air
From Berlin Tegel airport, take the TXL airport shuttle to the main train station (Hauptbahnhof). The main train station has direct trains to Neustrelitz. Alternatively, you can take bus X9. Get off at "Jungfernheide" and take S-Bahn 41. Get off at "Gesundbrunnen". Direct trains to Neustrelitz also leave from this station.
Arrival in Neustrelitz
The DLR site is located on the southern outskirts of Neustrelitz, about five kilometres from the city centre.
