Student Electrical Engineering, Automation and Control, Cybernetics (m/f): Nonlinear Control of Unmanned Aircraft

Your mission:

The Institute of Flight Systems in Braunschweig, Germany performs research with a variety of unmanned aircraft, ranging helicopters of rotor diameters between 90 cm and 3 m and fixed-wing aircraft. A key element of operation at the limit of the flight envelope is the development of state-of-the-art nonlinear flight-control algorithms. In the field of control the department of unmanned aircraft offers a variety of different tasks. These tasks include algorithm development, e.g. of adaptive and learning control, model following, simulation or automatic failsafe applications like automatic autorotation. Furthermore, tasks can be offered concerning implementation either using sophisticated approaches on powerful onboard computers or efficient implementations in embedded environments.
