The Institute of Flight Systems in Braunschweig, Germany performs research with a variety of unmanned aircraft, ranging helicopters of rotor diameters between 90 cm and 3 m and fixed-wing aircraft. A new task from certification processes and mission-planning arises when it comes to evaluating risks of unmanned aircraft ground impacts. Therefor an analysis of existing studies, regarding total failures of sensors and actuators needs to be conducted and partly implemented in the Simulation. Using the Simulation a local probability representing the impacts in different flight states needs to be designed and implemented.
