Student Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar: For programming of an embedded graphical user interface

Your mission:

The task in this internship / working student job is to implement an interactive embedded system which can process user inputs and gives feedback on a graphical display. This is done using an existing hardware platform with an Atmel microcontroller, SD memory card, keyboard, and color display. In a first step, a connection to transmit data between the SD card and the display has to be established. After that, the system shall be made sensitive to user inputs such that the graphical output can be controlled by the keyboard. During the development process, correct functionality must be tested using measurement devices like oscilloscope and logic analyzer.

In this position the intern / working student can gather experience in

  • Embedded system design and microcontroller programming
  • Software engineering
  • Working with data sheets and industrial standards
  • Testing and debugging of electronic circuits

The minimum duration for this job is two months of full time work or equivalent part time. Employment beyond this duration is possible.
