Many routes lead to success
Working at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) requires a great deal of energy, commitment, motivation and time. This makes it all the more important that you have the necessary freedom and resources to complete your tasks with creativity and passion. At DLR you will find many different, successful ways of reconciling professional challenges and private interests. Flexitime, part-time, working from home – we will help you achieve your personal ambitions in a healthy manner.
Family and career – naturally, at DLR
Your career path does not end when you start a family. We will help you get back to work, offering flexible working hours so you can combine conducting top-level research with family life. In addition to our family guidance office, we work with the parent support services of the AWO (Workers' Welfare Service), who will give you comprehensive advice and will help you find suitable child care for dependent family members – certificates such as the berufundfamilie® (career and family audit), which we have been awarded on a regular basis from 2002 to today, bear testimony to our commitment to family and work.
"Health is not everything, but without health there is nothing!" This motto applies to private as well as professional life. DLR offers a range of options for promoting health. You can play sports with your colleagues in corporate sports teams and take courses about preventive healthcare measures. Our offer ranges from yoga to a course for coping with stressful situations, and seminars on giving up smoking. Furthermore, our Occupational Health Management team organises health campaigns regularly.
