On 19 September 2008, Professor Johann-Dietrich Wörner (on the left), Chairman of the DLR Executive Board, and Professor Stefan Hormuth, President of the DAAD, signed the agreement establishing a joint research fellowship programme. The programme aims to attract outstanding international doctoral and postdoctoral students as well as senior scientists for short- to long-term research visits to DLR institutes in Germany.
