The graph shows the noise difference (SEL decibels) between the optimised and conventional landing patterns. The helicopter flies on a line from left to right and lands at the origin of the coordinate system. It can be seen that the noise at a distance of one to three kilometres from the landing pad is reduced by 10 decibels.
