Sharp-edged SHEFEX II nosecone with canard module (red)

Various re-entry experiments are accommodated within the SHEFEX II nose cone. The diagram shows the canard module developed by DLR (in red), with its canards, located behind the thermal protection system. This enables controlled re-entry of the experimental spacecraft.
