How much electrical power is generated at a certain wind speed? In energy meteorology, meteorological data is translated into energy-specific parameters. Meteorological information for wind-power forecasting and for determining wind potential, especially in complex terrain and in offshore sites, are hot research topics at the moment. The map shows the wind energy potential in the German Bight, calculated using a meteorological model.
