A2D and the two-micron lidar in DLR's research aircraft

The ALADIN Airborne Demonstrator (A2D), a version of the instrument that will fly on ADM-Aeolus, and a wind lidar operating at a wavelength of two microns, mounted in the DLR Falcon 20E research aircraft.

The red box nearest the camera is the two-micron wind lidar. The grey enclosure at the top centre of the image houses A2D.
