For the pupillograph test, subjects in the study wear special goggles and a set of headphones. Isolated from their environment in this way, they spend 11 minutes looking at a red dot that is displayed to them through the goggles. During this process, cameras record their eyes and measure changes in their pupils. The behaviour of the pupils shows the extent to which the test subjects' responses are impaired by fatigue.
