The RailDriVE is used to test positioning and signalling systems, in order to increase the efficiency and safety of railway traffic. This test platform consists of a lorry with additional railway wheels, which has been equipped with a range of positioning systems, including GPS (Global Positioning System), radar, eddy-current sensor, laser, video cameras and optical sensors.
