Surrounded by blue-violet stratospheric layers of methane, Saturn's moon Titan appears bathed in a gentle, sand-yellow colour. In January 2005, the European probe Huygens will touch down on the mysterious, completely cloud-covered moon and transmit images and data from the surface to Earth via the Cassini orbiter.
