Light and shadow on the surface of Mars
On 10 November 2005, the High Resolution Stereo Camera onboard Mars Express spacecraft took images of the fast-moving shadow of the moon Phobos as it moved across the Martian surface. These observations would not have been possible without the close cooperation between the camera team at the DLR Institute of Planetary Research and teams from the European Space Agency.
