DLR scientists support relief workers in Haiti earthquake disaster
After the devastating earthquake in Haiti, aid agencies urgently need reliable and meaningful information on the situation on the ground – the state of the infrastructure and the extent of the damage – to coordinate and plan their efforts in the disaster area. Scientists at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) have provided initial data, making maps derived from satellite data freely available to the troubled region.
