Schematic overview of LRI
The two satellites (S/C 1 & S/C 2) in orbit around Earth during the mission separated by a distance of 200 kilometres. Distance changes between them are measured by a K/KA band ranging instrument. These changes are also detected by a laser interferometer (LRI). The main components of the LRI are present: TMA, OBA, OBE, LRP and the Cavity (CAV)
