Deutsche Messe

Our mobility is changing at an enormous speed. This is particularly true for Lower Saxony as a motoring state. Many different routes and scenarios are required in order to be able to adequately test production-ready products before they are launched on the market. As a participant in the Test Bed Lower Saxony consortium, our 5G exhibition grounds can make an important contribution to the mobility of tomorrow, as 1.5 million square metres of fenced-in area with 15 km of traffic routes, high-precision surveying, several thousand parking spaces (some in multi-storey car parks), a tunnel and, in the future, a digital traffic system offer different test environments and enable scenarios that do not yet work or are not yet permitted on public roads. The integration of our exhibition centre into the Test Bed Lower Saxony opens up new opportunities for cooperation for both sides. We are thus highlighting the innovative strength of Lower Saxony and also continuing to write the history of the exhibition centre as a multifunctional innovation campus.

5G Test Bed Lower Saxony

Deutsche Messe in Hanover has been a permanent fixture in the global trade fair business since 1947. We organise leading international capital goods fairs, highly specialised trade fairs and regional consumer fairs. In addition, numerous international guest events take place at our exhibition centre in Hanover. In addition to developing new trade fair brands, we also hire out our exhibition centre for concerts, specialist conferences, congresses of all kinds and various corporate events.

Corona has presented the trade fair industry with completely new challenges. The future of trade fairs is hybrid and with our streaming and event locations, you can reach your customers at any time in a purely digital or hybrid format.

In addition to our core business, we focus on the technological innovations offered by our 5G exhibition centre. With an area of 1.5 million square metres, our exhibition centre is a highly innovative, multifunctional 5G campus where sophisticated new technological applications and services can be researched, developed and tested in protected environments.
