In the past eight months the German Copernicus Data Portal CODE-DE has been tapped by over 650 users to access Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 products. During this time data in the form of 47,000 products were downloaded via the online server platforms. The continuously updated catalogue already now includes a data volume of 800 TB.
Now, with CODE-DE Version 2.0 a processing environment is being made available. Users can process the data themselves with the help of various methodologies and then download the generated value-added products. This processing environment makes possible the individual selection of algorithms and a spatial search for the remote sensing data to which the methodology is to be applied. The momentary status of processing can also be viewed. The methods currently available are excerpts from such Sentinel tool boxes as Sen2Cor for the atmospheric correction of Sentinel-2 products. CODE-DE Version 2.0 also contains and improved visualization of the catalogue of available Sentinel-2 data. They are now presented at full 10 metre resolution.
Additional algorithms and products using Sentinel-3 and Sentinel-5P data will become available in the coming months. The capacity of the processing environment will also be expanded by selected applications.
