ISO 9001 certification by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance
The quality of research results, products and services is key in maintaining the Institute’s performance and competitiveness. The Institute upholds the highest standards placed in research, management and infrastructure.
The Institute has established and introduced a quality management (QM) system that actively involves all staff members, and is designed to foster the competence and motivation of its employees and improve the quality it provides to the satisfaction of its customers and partners. The Institute regularly assesses the goals, appropriateness, performance and documentation of the management system, and is continuously looking to improve its effectiveness.
Since 2014, the Institute of Composite Structures and Adaptive Systems is certified in accordance with the quality management standard DIN EN ISO 9001:2008.
The Static Test Laboratory is certified as a test laboratory by the firm Airbus in accordance with the Airbus quality directive (Attestation of Airbus Testing Authorisation to Proceed). The next stage will involve seeking accreditation of the Static Test Laboratory in accordance with DIN EN ISO 17025.
A further milestone is the introduction, certification and maintenance of an energy management system based on DIN EN ISO 50001 at the Institute’s Braunschweig site.
