Flight Operation and Acquisition
The group Flight Operation and Acquisition is responsible for the preparation and the execution of aircraft campaigns. This task includes administrative, financial and logistical aspects as well as technical preparation and realisation of the research flights. Experienced operations managers, flight dispatchers and DLR pilots coordinate the missions according to the scientific customer’s requirements. The preparation of campaigns can take many months due to the usersrequests concerning infrastructure, target area and necessary flight permits.
