Successfull Gaming Exercise on Total Airport Management in FP6 project EPISODE-3
A first gaming exercise on Total Airport Management (TAM) has been carried out in the Airport Control Center Simulator (ACCES) facility of the DLR Institute of Flight Guidance. This exercise is a part of the FP6 project EPISODE-3, which has the objective to analyse the SESAR concepts and to provide some very first validation results of these concepts.

Inbetriebnahme einer experimentellen Bodenstation für die Luftfahrtforschung: DLR Braunschweig führt Demonstrationsflüge durch
Das Deutsche Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR) wird am 25. Juli 2009 am Flughafen Braunschweig-Wolfsburg eine experimentelle Bodenstation für die Luftfahrtforschung in Betrieb nehmen, die es ermöglicht, satellitengestützte Präzisionsanflüge durchzuführen. Die Endabnahme des Ground Based Augmentation Systems (GBAS) erfolgt nach Flugerprobungen mit einer Boeing 737-700 der Fluggesellschaft Air Berlin. Air Berlin ist die erste Fluggesellschaft Europas, die eine Zulassung der amerikanischen Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) für Anflüge auf eine solche Station erhalten hat.
