Pilot Assistance

The department of pilot assistance is conducting research on methods for the cognitive automatization of on-board flight guidance functions in the scope of an integral support to aircrews for flight guidance during all phases of flight "gate-to-gate". Part of this work is the evaluation of flight guidance scenarios, e.g. a "free-flight" scenario and work on improved assistance functions for the control of unmanned aircraft in controlled airspace.
