The railway specific laboratory offers the opportunity to analyze systems, subsystems and components of train control technology as well as operational concepts. The validation of the interoperation between system components from different suppliers is possible from a functional and a safety related view. Due to its modular design, the flexibility and expandability of the laboratory is ensured so that hardware-in-the-loop and cross-reference tests can be performed next to sheer software simulations.
