Research is focusing on the project „Integrated Modelling of the Air Transport System“ as well as on the impacts on the physical environment and its interaction with the societal environment. Superior goal of the project is setting up a toolbox, which allows for the model-technical realisation of the entire process chain starting from the traffic generation to environmental effects for the air transport sector.
The space monitored covers the airport region up to a global scale. The time frame monitored preferably is long-term oriented. Beside high scientific interest this topic of research features high relevance in the areas society and economy.
