The airports as central hubs of air traffic flows frequently turn into needle eyes. Main reasons are lacking capacity and low efficiency.The airport efficiency can only be improved when decision processes are agreed upon in a faster way and can be processed more soundly between respectively by airport actors and policy decision makers.
Therefore, various issues are to be considered and analysed. SPADE is considered to support this procedure by constituting a platform for airport efficiency analyses and support of airport-related decision processes. Frequently asked questions as to the airport issues have been formalised in form of (operational and strategic) cases and have been modelled by corresponding workflows for answering.
