The „Clean Sky Technology Evaluator“ is a subproject and main action item of the “Joint Technology Initiative (JTI) Clean Sky”. In the scope of this European Mega-Project (total budget 1.6 billion Euro) by means of six so-called „Integrated Technology Demonstrators“ (ITD) more sustainable aviation technology for the next generation of aircrafts featuring fixed or rotating wings is to be developed and validated until 2015.
Within the scope of JTI „Clean Sky“ the task of the “Technology Evaluator” (TE) is to evaluate – as an integrated simulation tool - the environmental effects of this technology and aircrafts and to quantify them according to the implementation of the ACARE environment targets (CO2, NOX, noise).
