The aim of the European research project TEAM_Play (Tool Suite for Environmental and Economic Aviation Modelling for Policy Analysis) is to couple existing tools and models of 18 European research institutions to forecast air traffic and its impact on environment and society. This “Tool Suite” will be able to handle complex and global air transport policy issues to be integrated on the European side. Thus, it will strengthen the European Union to speak on ICAO / CAEP level.
Particular focus of the project is placed on the modelling of interdependencies and trade-offs, such as those which can occur between CO2 and NOx emissions.
