The ESA final workshop to AGRISAR and EAGLE campaigns took place at ESA/ESTEC on 15 and 16 October 2007. Our Institute had the project lead and participated in the campaigns by supplying the airborne SAR data (E-SAR) for crop growth monitoring. |

TerraSAR-X is a new German radar satellite that shall be launched in February 2007. The scheduled lifetime is 5 years. It carries a high frequency X-band SAR sensor that can be operated in different modes (resolutions) and polarization. TerraSAR-X will offer features that were not available from space before. |

TanDEM-X (TerraSAR-X add-on for Digital Elevation Measurement) has the goal of generating a global Digital Elevation Model (DEM) with an unprecedented accuracy corresponding to the DTED-3 specifications. This goal will be achieved by means of a second SAR satellite (TanDEM-X) flying in a tandem orbit configuration with TerraSAR-X (TSX-1). |

F-SAR is the successor of the well-known E-SAR system, the Institute’s airborne SAR. F-SAR is a totally new development utilizing most modern hardware and commercial off-the-shelf components. F-SAR will operate in X-, C-, S-, L- and P-bands with fully polarimetric capability in all frequencies and four simultaneous recording channels. |

The TRAMRAD project was established to study the potentials of airborne or spaceborne radar systems for the wide-area monitoring and control of road traffic. The goal is the definition of radar system concepts, which are able to provide wide area traffic data frequently for traffic monitoring or, in extended time intervals, for traffic planning. |
