Contamination Analysis

Estimation of contamination risks due to self-contamination and external influences

  • Identification of contamination sources
  • Development of strategy for contamination protection and decontamination

Testing of materials with regard to their outgassing properties

  • Micro-VCM-Test facility:
    ESA approved outgassing test according to ECSS-Q-70-02 “Thermal vacuum test for the screening of space materials”
  • UHV-Test facility:
    Determination of specific outgassing rates by pressuring-rate-of-rise method in dependence of time and temperature including the mass spectrometric analysis of outgassing products in situ and the measurement of condensed materials with a TQCM-sensor.
