Scope of works

Development of a thermal mathematical model for spaceborne systems and their verification 

  • lumped parameter method (ESATAN, ESARAD)
  • finite element method (FLOTHERM)

Support for the specification of the model and test philosophy e.g. design and construction of a thermal engineering model  (TEM)

Thermal control systems

  • Design, construction and test of thermal control hardware e.g. radiators, heat pipes
  • Multi layer insolation conditioning
