SAT-TSARCoherent Inter-island Transmission Experiments
An optical free-space communication link will be established between the two Canarian islands Tenerife and La Palma (150km) in October 2005 in order to verify the operability of the DLR Laser Communications Terminal (DLR-LCT), which is developed by Tesat Spacecom. The DLR-LCT is planned to be launched on the earth observation satellite TerraSAR-X in 2006.
