Development of a Satellite Multimedia Demonstrator

Work Description:

The candidate shall develop graphical user interfaces for a multimedia service via satellite. The framework is a satellite broadcasting experiment involving enhances coding techniques. An existing infrastructure including a satellite gateway and satellite terminals (MS Windows-based) is available, which shall be complemented, on the terminal sides, by user interfaces able to display statistics on the Quality of Service (QoS) as well the delivered multimedia content.

Tasks:

To develop user interfaces on the terminal side;
To develop simple statistical tools for the QoS evaluation.

Qualification:

The candidate shall be enrolled in a MS degree program, and shall have good knowledge of C/Java programming. Skills on the design of GUI are welcome.

Duration:

4 to 6 months
