In the research project HETEREX, the Institute for Communication and Navigation is involved in work package 2 "Communcation, Navigation and Surveillance". HETEREX is funded by the Federal Ministry of Economic s, call LuFo IV . To support industry partners DLR researches novel algorithms in the field of ground-based augmentation systems (GBAS) for guiding aircraft on final approach using satellite navigation. In addition, the industry is supported in the validation of new flight guidance and navigation system. Amongst others, the MASTER constellation simulator is used.
