KIODO
The project KIODO (KIrari’s Optical Downlink to Oberpfaffenhofen) refers to a series of laser links between a DLR ground station and the Japanese satellite OICETS. KIODO represents the first optical downlink from a LEO satellite to a European station. In addition to data transmission, measurements of atmospheric effects on the laser beam have been carried out.
