BaySEF/BayPAF

In the context of the projects BaySEF and BayPAF, which are financed by the state of Bavaria, a Signal Experimentation Facility and a Performance Assessment Facility  for Galileo are built up at the location Ottobrunn of the EADS Astrium GmbH.

Main goals are:

• Bundling of the competence in the navigation technology in the area Munich
• Covering of the key tasks for the verification and the monitoring of satellite navigation signals, navigation systems, services and applications
• Creation of a flexible development and analysis environment

DLR KN contributes to BaySEF with the development and provison of acquisition algorithms for the new Galileo signals.

For BayPAF an interface is provided to the experimentation and verification network (EVNet, which was set up in the context of the DLR internal project GalileoNAV.
