Berlin-based DLR scientists gave this 'Berlin Wall rock', undoubtedly the furthest such remnant in the Universe, the name 'Broken Wall'. The volcanic rock was discovered to the west of the landing site of the US space probe Mars Pathfinder, in a rock formation running from north to south and vaguely reminiscent of a section of collapsed wall.
